Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the development, basic and detailed engineering of energy transition projects and their integration into existing infrastructure.
Job requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge, collaborative approach, strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
- Relevant education in mechanical engineering, general operational engineering or similar.
- At least 5 years of work experience as an engineer.
- Experience in the (petro)chemical industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of or experience with pipe stress and pressure vessel calculations is an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience with piping and pressure equipment is an advantage.
Tasks
- Development, basic and detailed engineering of energy transition projects, such as hydrogen production and storage, heating networks, and underground CO2 storage.
- Design and test technical solutions for new installations and adjustments to the gas transport system.
- Developing basic designs and performing strength calculations in accordance with the client's quality standards.
- Applying and contributing to the development of design standards, work processes and tools within the department.
- Preparing and managing working documents, revising drawings and maintaining files.
- Inform and consult with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver the smartest solution for each project.
