Description
As a shipbuilding specialist within the Projects and Newbuild department, you identify developments, conduct analyses, draw up project plans, and oversee the implementation of improvement and newbuild projects.
Job requirements
- Completed MSc in Maritime Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrable project management experience; preferably a relevant PM qualification such as IPMA.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with data science and AI applications.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude; decisive, stress-resistant, and result-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Excellent oral and written command of Dutch and English.
Tasks
- Identifying new developments and performing shipbuilding analyses.
- Drafting project plans and overseeing implementation for performance improvement and new construction.
- Leveraging operational data and AI for analyses and proposals.
- Leading projects and functioning as a project leader, including assembling project teams.
- Aligning scope, activities, and budget with involved parties.
- Monitoring planning, budget and quality.
- Maintaining a network with classification societies, suppliers, knowledge institutions, and universities.
- Collaborating with ICT, data engineers, design teams, and operational departments to realize improvements on board.
