As Manager Accounting & Control, you are responsible for the quality and reliability of the financial administration within the Novar Group. You help build a finance organization that grows with Novar's ambitions.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional or university education, preferably in Accountancy, Business Administration, or Finance & Control.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance.
- Experience with setting up and optimizing internal controls and accounting processes.
- Approachable, connecting, and coaching management style; accessible and inspiring to the team.
- Suitability for a project-driven, fast-moving organization with short lines of communication.
Tasks
- Monitoring compliance with (group) accounting standards and the Internal Control Framework.
- Process responsible for the periodic closing and reporting process, both internal and external.
- Management of financial planning, liquidity, and cost allocation within the group.
- Providing financial insights to support strategic choices.
- Initiating and driving improvements in data quality, ERP configuration, and automation, including AI applications.
- Leading the Accounting & Control team (approximately 12 FTE) and creating a development-friendly collaboration between Accounting Employees and Project Controllers.
- Overseeing the financial administration of subsidiaries such as Klaer Energy and Repowered.
Working conditions
- Location: Groningen.
- Personal budget of 12% on top of the salary (8% holiday allowance and 4% for personal purposes).
