Description

Junior Design & Proposal Engineer within the Marine & Offshore Business Unit, responsible for the quotation process for electrical installations and systems for ships. You will be part of the Design & Proposal team that provides support for various projects in the maritime sector.

Job requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level.
  • Experience in electrical engineering or a background in electrical engineering is an advantage.
  • Experience with the energy transition is an advantage.
  • Experience with systems in the maritime sector is an advantage.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.

Tasks

  • Investigating customer needs and gathering necessary information for applications.
  • Converting customer requirements into a design and drafting technical descriptions of parts.
  • Calculating costs and preparing quotations, taking into account system functionality and sustainability.
  • Providing technical support to the sales team during commercial negotiations.
  • In consultation with the Design & Proposal Manager, determine strategy to submit a timely and technically accurate offer.
  • Ensure data transfer to the project team as soon as an order is confirmed.
  • Maintaining contact with internal and external suppliers and with customers.
  • Learning to work with existing tools to eventually perform tasks independently.
