Junior Design & Proposal Engineer responsible for designs, technical specifications, and quotations for electrical ship installations.
Key tasks: customer research, cost calculations, and handover to project teams.
Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level and a good command of Dutch and English are required.
Description
Junior Design & Proposal Engineer within the Marine & Offshore Business Unit, located in Kolham. You will be part of the Design & Proposal team and support projects in the maritime sector.
Job requirements
- HBO working and thinking level
- Experience or education in electrical engineering is a plus.
- Experience with the energy transition is a plus.
- Experience with systems in the maritime sector is a plus.
- Good command of spoken and written Dutch and English
Tasks
- Investigating customer needs based on incoming requests
- Gathering necessary information for quotations
- Drafting design and technical specifications of parts
- Calculating costs and preparing quotations
- Providing technical support to the sales team during commercial negotiations
- Consult with the Design & Proposal Manager regarding strategy and technical accuracy.
- Maintaining contact with customers, internal and external suppliers
- Ensure data transfer to the project team after order confirmation
- Working with existing tools and developing towards independent work
