Tasks

As a team leader and lead operator, you oversee the entire production process and ensure the safe and reliable operation of installations and utilities.

  • Ensuring that production assets (24 furnaces and 7 transformers) and utilities (energy supply, demineralized water, water purification, desulfurization, and environmental monitoring) function properly and are optimally coordinated.
  • Starting, managing, and stopping processes according to schedule and ensuring safety in and around the installation.
  • Intervening in malfunctions, independently resolving minor (process) malfunctions, and assisting with more complex malfunctions.
  • Assisting with the commissioning of new installations.
  • Together with the shift supervisor, assess production volume, partly based on energy prices, and translate this into a daily schedule for the team.
  • Performing first-line maintenance.
  • Monitoring safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coaching and guiding fellow operators in their development.
  • Working in a team with four colleagues within a five-shift system.
  • After an accelerated but thorough onboarding process, get to know the process, the factory, and the team well, and propose improvements and implement them together.
