Description
The energy transition is a major societal challenge; as an Energy Transition Advisor, you connect policy and implementation, technology and communication. You work on local projects concerning sustainable energy generation, the heat transition, and making homes more sustainable, and ensure that ambitions are actually realized. You will be seconded to a municipality via Xstate and work in a team focused on sustainability, energy, and the living environment.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional or university education, for example in Energy & Sustainability, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Technology or Environmental Sciences.
- Experience or strong affinity with energy policy, sustainability or project management.
- Skills: connecting approach, sense of participation and communication, experience with behavioral change and data-driven work.
- Maintaining an overview in complex projects, political and administrative sensitivity, and persuasiveness.
- Fluent Dutch (language proficiency required).
Tasks
- Developing and implementing policies in the field of sustainable energy, heat transition and housing sustainability.
- Advising the Municipal Executive and Council on policy choices, strategy, and implementation projects.
- Collaborate with housing associations, grid operators, energy cooperatives and residents.
- Guiding participation processes and ensuring that residents feel heard and involved.
- Translating national and regional objectives into local plans and implementation programs.
- Monitoring results and brainstorming on new opportunities and innovations within the energy transition.
