Description

As a commercial waste loader in Drachten, you start early and head out with the driver to collect and process business waste in the region. You work mostly outdoors and contribute directly to a cleaner, circular economy. The position offers variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to grow within the waste industry. The number of hours ranges between 16 and 40 per week.

Job requirements

  • Minimum VMBO working and thinking level.
  • You have a command of Dutch (speaking and understanding).
  • You are available for at least four weeks during the summer holidays.
  • Good physical condition and willingness to perform physical work.
  • Flexible regarding working hours and used to starting early.
  • Reliable and a true team player.
  • Experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Residing within approximately 30 km of Drachten.

Tasks

  • Your day starts between 5:45 and 7:00 AM on location.
  • You receive the schedule for the coming week every Thursday.
  • You start with a short briefing and head out with the driver to collect commercial waste.
  • You recognize various waste streams and ensure that they are processed safely and responsibly.
  • You lift, sort, and move boxes and packages and check labels where necessary.
  • You work according to clear safety rules, help colleagues, and ensure that the work runs smoothly.
  • The work is active, varied, and mostly outdoors.
