Project Leader Industry Northeast Netherlands
Leads the tender and execution phases of complex industrial projects with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsible for planning, contract management, and financial settlement.
HBO level and at least three years of experience with multi-technical projects required.
Description
You are involved in mono- and multidisciplinary projects in the industrial and private sectors from the tender phase. You build sustainable and innovative projects such as data centers and energy storage, and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Job requirements
- Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably a degree in civil engineering or similar.
- At least three years of experience as a project leader with a proven track record in managing multi-technical projects.
- Knowledge and experience with various contract forms, such as UAV(GC), EPC, or client-specific contracts.
- Familiarity with HSE management systems and prioritizing safety in all project phases.
- Strong big-picture thinking, commercial insight, and the ability to seize opportunities.
- Skilled in client-focused collaboration, forward thinking, and clear communication with the team and client.
Tasks
- Assessing and managing tenders with diverse content, approaches, and contract forms (e.g., UAV, UAV-GC, D&C, E&C, construction team).
- After award, assemble and manage a multidisciplinary project team, including specialists in areas such as sustainability, systems engineering, and contract management.
- Leading project execution and ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Acting as a link between management and the operational core of the branch.
- Meeting TGKIO factors: time, money, quality, information, and organization.
- Taking care of contract management and the financial settlement of projects.
- Implementing sustainable measures such as material recycling, alternative energy, and zero-emission construction where possible.

With over two thousand colleagues and its own (electric) equipment, KWS focuses on sustainable infrastructure projects.
The KWS Infra Zwolle-Leek branch realizes projects from design to execution and maintenance in Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, and the northern part of Gelderland. The organization has an informal working atmosphere, delegates responsibilities low in the organization, and values initiative, entrepreneurship, and creativity. The head office is located in Meppel; there are branch offices in Drachten, Leeuwarden, Hoogkerk, Scheemda, Hoogeveen, Holten, and 't Harde.
