Description
As an Information Manager, you work primarily for Assets & Operations within the Methane Transport business line and develop the strategic and tactical portfolio for the entire lifecycle of the application landscape. You ensure that projects align with architectural choices and coordinate objectives with stakeholders. You ensure that changes in digitalization are implemented coherently and are in line with the organization's vision and objectives. Location: Groningen; hybrid working is possible in consultation.
Job requirements
- University-level working and thinking skills and at least 8 years of relevant work experience in a role at the intersection of business and IT.
- Experience with strategic influencing, stakeholder management, and decision-making at management and executive levels.
- Experience collaborating in complex, multidisciplinary organizations and connecting different perspectives (business, IT, operations).
- Demonstrable experience with portfolio management, program management, and information management (e.g., SAFe, MSP, PRINCE2, Scrum, Bus DevOps).
- Affinity with IT and business architecture and the associated processes.
- Affinity with ICT budgets and the ability to translate strategic choices into financial consequences.
- Experience or demonstrable affinity with change management, including adoption and change capacity within a line organization.
- Knowledge of process thinking and relevant business processes, or the ability to quickly acquire them.
- Personality traits: comfortable in complex administrative environments, dares to take a stand, proactive, collaborative, flexible (agile/lean), strong communication, coaching, and advisory skills, analytical perspective combined with organizational sensitivity and a hands-on mentality.
Tasks
- Developing a strategic and tactical IT portfolio for the application landscape.
- Aligning and concretizing the vision and objectives of digitalization programs/chains at the executive level.
- Translating vision and objectives into prioritized epics and projects together with business owners.
- Developing strategic product and project roadmaps based on priority, effort, and value.
- Establishing and monitoring governance surrounding IT projects and programs and acting as advisor to the IT Portfolio Board (IGB).
- Concrete epics and projects into product visions together with product owners.
- Identifying and monitoring dependencies within and outside the portfolio.
- Reporting on progress within the existing governance (Executive Board, management teams, steering committees).
- Overall SLA management with IT and optimizing the existing application landscape to support chain objectives.
- Collaborating with architects, product owners, managers, process owners, and Unit I.

The Asset Management department falls within the Assets & Operations unit and is part of the Methane Transport business line. Asset Management provides support services for Assets & Operations and sometimes for the rest of the organization.
Within Assets & Operations, a central information management team has been established with the goal of making the right information available at the right time. This team consists of information managers, product owners, and business analysts and supports the achievement of the organization's ambitions.
