Description
As Sustainability Coordinator, you guide the sustainability program within the organization and take sustainability to the next level. You are part of the Innovation & Projects team, which consists of five project leaders and a team leader, and collaborate on organization-wide projects that contribute to innovation and future-proof care. You assist in further establishing and structuring the sustainability program and are currently involved in a project regarding waste separation.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education.
- Demonstrable experience in (substantively) managing employees and external clients, for example as a project leader.
- Affinity with sustainability and willingness to obtain a training certificate.
- Experience with policy development, program management, drafting reports, and working according to the PDCA cycle.
- Knowledge of the healthcare sector is a plus.
- Skills and qualities: proactive, critical, integrity, stress-resistant, strong communication skills, organizational sensitivity and the ability to connect; experience with coordination and program management.
- Providing a current Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is part of the appointment procedure.
Tasks
- The point of contact for environmental and energy matters.
- Connector between sustainability and daily (healthcare) practice.
- Responsible for program management, developing policy proposals, and reporting on progress.
- Initiator in further developing and coordinating sustainability projects within the organization.
- Driver of sustainability: connecting people, identifying opportunities, and addressing and following up on stagnation.
Working conditions
- Employment conditions in accordance with the VVT collective labor agreement.
- A contract for a period of one year, with the intention of converting it to an indefinite term at a later date.

Description of the organization
Oosterlengte offers appropriate support to people in East Groningen during vulnerable life stages, both in clients' homes and in eleven nursing homes, including an expertise center. Oosterlengte is affiliated with the Green Deal Sustainable Healthcare and aims for the silver Environmental Platform Healthcare Sector (MPZ) standard. A Green Team works on MPZ themes such as real estate, energy, water, air, sustainable transport, food, and a CO₂ roadmap, with the goals of reduced CO₂ emissions, increased circularity, and reduced environmental impact.
