Wind Turbine Installer
Description
As an electrical technician for wind turbines, you maintain and repair electrical systems in wind turbines. You perform work at great heights, combine knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical engineering, and work with both measuring and testing equipment as well as control cabinets. The first week consists of training on wind turbines and safety, after which you will be trained on the job by experienced technicians.
Job requirements
- Completed technical education, for example Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, AOT, or Automotive Engineering.
- Candidates with a military background without a diploma can be trained internally.
- Flexibility to occasionally work in other regions and to work late shifts or on-call duties.
- Driving License B.
- Speaking, writing, and reading English.
- Good health (medical examination required).
Tasks
- Maintaining wind turbines and troubleshooting.
- Replacement of electrical components.
- Connecting cables in switch cabinets.
- Installing test and recording equipment and analyzing test results.
- Checking operational reliability and safety protocols.
- Setting up and adjusting process controls.
- Writing service reports.
- Practical, outdoor work all day with professional tools.
