Description

As a crane operator, you are responsible for operating the overhead crane on the stacking yard of the concrete plant in Heerenveen. You move precast concrete elements accurately and safely so that they are ready for transport to construction sites. You work within Van Wijnen Smart Structures, part of Van Wijnen Components.

Job requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a logistics role using an overhead crane.
  • In possession of or willing to obtain: overhead crane operator certificate, hoisting license, and forklift certificate.
  • Working accurately and in a structured manner, with an emphasis on safety.
  • Good communicative skills.

Tasks

  • Operate the overhead crane on the stacking yard in accordance with applicable instructions and regulations.
  • Moving concrete elements to the correct location and safely.
  • Loading and unloading trucks using the overhead crane.
  • Safe unloading of precast concrete elements from the factory.
  • Stripping, storing, and moving precast concrete elements on the stacking yard.
  • Coordinating and communicating with truck drivers regarding the correct and timely delivery and placement of concrete elements.
  • Be assigned to other logistical tasks within the production environment.
