Operations Engineer for snubbing and hydraulic workover operations within oil and geothermal projects. Tasks: project preparation, drafting execution programs, and resolving technical issues on-site. Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a valid IWCF Well Control Level 4.
Description
As an Operations Engineer, you ensure that projects are prepared in detail and run smoothly in the field. You are the link between engineering and execution and work in a compact, experienced team at the office, maintaining close contact with onshore and offshore crews. You see the direct results of your work.
Job requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical role within oil/gas or a service company.
- Knowledge of plug & abandonment activities.
- Experience with internal and annular remediation techniques.
- Experience with cost reporting & verification.
- Ability to coordinate multiple operations simultaneously.
- Strong HSE awareness and experience in operating safely.
- Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4.
- Flexibility and commitment when operations require it.
Tasks
- Leading morning calls and analyzing daily operational reports.
- Aligning ongoing and new operational plans with team leads and wellsite supervisors.
- Maintain technical communication with rigs, service providers, and engineers.
- Leading AAR meetings and collaborating on process improvements.
- Provide troubleshooting for technical challenges on location.
- Drafting execution programs in accordance with business, industry, and legal standards.
- Organizing pre-job meetings and coordinating with Well Examination.
- Facilitating AWOP/CWOP meetings.
- Managing the inventory of rental materials.
- Preparation of end-of-well documentation and material reconciliation.
- Assessing third-party plans and advising suppliers.
- Actively contribute to cost savings and safety improvements.
