Excavation Damage Prevention Officer
An Excavation Damage Prevention Officer prevents excavation damage in a nationwide technical team.
Tasks: checking excavation regulations, providing information, remeasuring, and reporting.
Requires a minimum of MBO-4, experience with cables and pipelines, and digital skills.
Description
As the point of contact at locations with high-risk excavation activities, you prevent damage by providing advice, guidance, and support when cables or pipes are not immediately located. You provide instruction on careful excavation and accurately document activities in reports that reduce damage claims and improve prevention.
Job requirements
- Minimum MBO-4 level in a relevant technical education.
- Experience in the safety and/or management of cables and pipelines.
- Knowledge of digital tools and technical systems.
- Personal qualities: independent, committed and decisive.
Tasks
- Check whether the excavation rules on site are being followed.
- Advising and guiding excavators to prevent excavation damage.
- Intervene in careless digging operations.
- Assist with remeasurement of cables and pipes if necessary.
- Contribute to and conduct information sessions for contractors and excavators on working safely.
- Accurately document findings and activities in reports.
Working conditions
