As a Repair Welder, you perform welding work in the dock and at the shipyard, focusing on the renovation, repair, and conversion of ships.

Job requirements

Required education, experience and skills:

  • In possession of BmbE Level 3 and Mag Level 3 diplomas.
  • Holds the following welding certificates: 138 BW/FW PE/PB, 136 BW/FW PF/PB, 111 BW/FW PF/PB, 111 BW/FW PC/PB.
  • Hands-on worker who works accurately and has a practical mindset.
  • Solution-oriented thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Fluent in English for good communication skills and compliance with safety regulations.

Tasks

You use your welding skills to renovate old ships, perform complex repairs, and transform existing vessels. You are responsible for welding work in our dock and at the shipyard and work on a wide variety of ships. Activities range from periodic maintenance to repairing damage, and you participate in larger, complex projects.

Examples of tasks:

  • Construction and installation of new ship sections and connection to existing structures.
  • Cutting, preparing, and assembling parts in the floating dock.

Royal Niestern Sander is a versatile and innovative shipyard that designs, builds, and repairs vessels, specializing in complex, customer-oriented ship conversions.
