Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for the development, basic and detailed engineering of energy transition projects and their integration into existing infrastructure.

Job requirements

  • In-depth technical knowledge, collaborative approach, strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
  • Relevant education in mechanical engineering, general operational engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years of work experience as an engineer.
  • Experience in the (petro)chemical industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of or experience with pipe stress and pressure vessel calculations is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with piping and pressure equipment is an advantage.

Tasks

  • Development, basic and detailed engineering of energy transition projects, such as hydrogen production and storage, heating networks, and underground CO2 storage.
  • Design and test technical solutions for new installations and adjustments to the gas transport system.
  • Developing basic designs and performing strength calculations in accordance with the client's quality standards.
  • Applying and contributing to the development of design standards, work processes and tools within the department.
  • Preparing and managing working documents, revising drawings and maintaining files.
  • Inform and consult with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver the smartest solution for each project.
