As Technical Expert OIV Distribution in the North, you are the linchpin between policymakers and implementers within the organization. Your expertise and communication skills are essential for finding and implementing technical solutions in the changing energy market.
Job requirements
- Technical higher professional education, preferably Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology; a technical Associate Degree may also suffice.
- Knowledge of grid configurations and grid installations/components.
- Extensive experience in electrical engineering and in independently solving technically complex problems in energy grids and installations.
- Experience with process and project management and knowledge of HSE legislation, guidelines, and procedures in the energy sector is a plus.
- Strong skills in problem analysis and quality-oriented work.
- Ability to make decisions and take responsibility in disruption situations, with persuasiveness in advice and presentations.
- Good communication skills to switch smoothly between the shop floor and management, with attention to safety and quality.
- Quickly grasping technical complexity and conducting sharp analyses, even under time pressure.
Tasks
- Jointly responsible for the safe operation of electricity supply systems in the Northern Netherlands.
- Collaborating with fellow OIVs and IVs to ensure maintenance and fault handling proceed efficiently and safely.
- Advising Asset Management on maintenance and replacement guidelines.
- Providing substantive input on the tendering and implementation of business and network components.
- Drafting and disseminating technical instructions and ensuring safe and uniform working practices.
- Involvement in the commissioning and management of networks within projects.
- Acting as a technical fault manager in the event of emergencies and maintaining contact with external partners such as the fire brigade and municipalities.
- The assignment of HS/MS stations takes place in consultation with fellow Transport Officers, taking place of residence into account as much as possible.
