Description
You are responsible for a safe and future-proof gas network, take the lead during outages, and advise on maintenance and replacement choices. The role requires independence, flexibility, and a high level of responsibility, and combines technical tasks with an advisory and coaching role towards various levels within the organisation.
Job requirements
- Technical higher professional education (for example, mechanical engineering).
- Willingness to pursue a post-graduate course in Energy Transition and Sustainable Energy.
- Knowledge of grid configurations and grid installations/components.
- Knowledge and/or experience with process and project management.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and applicable guidelines, procedures, and regulations in the energy sector is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in gas distribution technology and in independently solving technically complex problems in energy networks and installations.
- Strong skills in problem analysis and quality-oriented work.
- Ability to make decisive decisions and persuasiveness when giving advice and presentations.
Tasks
- Ensuring the safe operation of the gas networks in your area.
- Act as Operational Installation Manager and on-site technical fault manager during major breakdowns.
- Advising Asset Management on maintenance and replacement guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for key stakeholders, such as Gasunie, government authorities, and customers.
- Testing new or modified network configurations and installations during both the design phase and upon commissioning.
- Providing technical input on the tendering, selection, and implementation of new or modified business assets.
- Drafting technical instructions and ensuring that they are communicated and understood by the organisation.
- Collaborate with colleagues from Engineering and Realization and act as a technical advisor.
- Remaining calm during malfunctions and complex technical issues, and taking responsibility for the availability and proper functioning of company assets.
