Environmental Policy Officer
Description
As an Environmental Policy Officer, you'll advise on environmental issues and work on projects with various clients. You'll work on policy and permitting processes and translate environmental objectives into actionable plans.
Job requirements
- HBO or WO diploma in Environmental Science, Process/Chemical Technology or a similar field.
- Experience with topics within the environmental field.
- To be able to make professional and independent judgments on complex matters within a playing field with diverse interests.
- Experience gained with the government or relevant experience as an environmental consultant is a strict requirement.
Tasks
- Drafting environmental and policy advice and supervising the process.
- Addressing a wide range of environmental topics, such as air, odor, soil, waste, nature, energy and agriculture.
- Translating environmental objectives into an environmental vision.
- Acting as project leader for policy projects and permitting procedures.
- Advising on and drafting the environmental part of environmental permits.
- Strategic advice on reducing nitrogen deposition, for example in Natura 2000 areas.
- Act as a contact person for various internal and external stakeholders.

Description of the organisation
