Description

As an Apprentice Installation Technician, you'll assist with the installation of mechanical systems in utility projects and for residential clients in Friesland. Apprentices typically work alongside a vocational training program (BBL) and are paired with an experienced installer during their work.

Job requirements

  • Willingness to follow a training course in the field, often in combination with a BBL training course.
  • Affinity for technology; interest in practical and technical work is important.
  • Willingness to obtain a driver's license is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Dutch for good communication with colleagues.
  • Competencies: flexible, customer-oriented, reliable and positive.

Tasks

  • Installing, connecting and assembling mechanical systems, such as sewerage, water pipes, central heating boilers and heat pumps.
  • Working on new construction, renovation and large-scale conversions of commercial buildings and homes.
  • Collaborate with fellow installers, subcontractors, and project management to deliver installations safely, to high quality, and on schedule.
  • Ensure that the work on location is carried out neatly and professionally.
  • Working on both multi-day large projects and project phases with varied activities.
  • Support in installing electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance for business customers (e.g. central heating boilers, heat pumps, air conditioning and ventilation systems).
  • Installing, mounting and configuring security systems.
