Safety Support Officers supervise personnel during industrial operations, based in Groningen or the Rotterdam area. Responsibilities: Provide safe access and, after training, participate in rescue teams. Requirements: Motivated, in good physical condition, willing to travel and work night shifts.
Description
As an operational safety expert, you specialize in working at height and in confined spaces. You support organizations in carrying out high-risk activities safely and in accordance with applicable standards, working both independently on projects and as part of a team.
As a safety support worker, you'll collaborate with colleagues in the industry to ensure safe working practices. This can range from guiding personnel through safe access to systems to, after training and experience, participating in rescue teams. Location: Groningen or the Rotterdam area.

Tasks
- Conducting workplace inspections and safety rounds.
- Preparation and assessment of Task Risk Analyses (TRAs) and work plans.
- Providing advice on working safely at heights and in confined spaces.
- Supervising projects and initiating shutdowns in cases of increased risk.
- Providing toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement safety measures.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company procedures.
- Safety supervision during high-risk activities.
- Providing guidance to personnel in safely accessing installations and carrying out safety support activities.
- Carrying out work at height (rope access).
- Participation in the rescue team.
