Environmental Advisor
Living Environment Advisor providing inspections, analyses, and advice on trees and greenery, and managing projects based in Groningen.
Required: completed higher professional or university education and at least five years of relevant experience as a landscaping and tree specialist.
Description
As an Environment Advisor, you will work from the Groningen office on various integrated green projects to make the Northern Netherlands greener and more climate-adaptive.
Job requirements
- Completed higher vocational or university education (for example HAS or Larenstein).
- At least five years of relevant work experience as a green and tree specialist.
- Knowledge of tree technology and species; preferably with ETT and BVC certificates or equivalent.
- Customer and cooperation orientation and persuasiveness.
- Affinity with management systems, design programs and GIS.
- Knowledge of and experience with digitalization and AI.
Tasks
You are involved in inspections, analyses, advice, and project supervision. You assess the condition of trees and green structures and contribute ideas regarding management and development measures. You advise clients on risks, opportunities, and choices in public spaces and translate technical findings into understandable, actionable recommendations. You collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines and regularly coordinate with managers, project leaders, and clients. Additionally, you contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and mentor younger colleagues where necessary.
