As a living environment advisor, you will work on various integrated projects and contribute to greening and climate adaptation in the Northern Netherlands, from our office in Groningen.
Job requirements
- Completed higher vocational or university education (for example HAS or Larenstein).
- At least five years of relevant work experience as a green and tree specialist.
- Knowledge of and experience with plants, trees, urban habitats and ecosystem services.
- Knowledge of tree technology and species; preferably with ETT and BVC certificates or equivalent.
- Customer and cooperation orientation and persuasiveness.
- Affinity with management systems, design programs and GIS.
- Full proficiency in Dutch, minimum C1 level (oral and written).
Tasks
- Providing specialist advice on green spaces, from integrated planning development to the realisation of projects and designs in urban and rural areas.
- Drafting new green and tree policies and ensuring public participation in policy and plans.
- Applying integrated thinking within project teams to arrive at appropriate solutions.
- Carrying out fieldwork and maintaining contact with clients and stakeholders regarding advice and projects.
