Description

As a Maintenance Engineer Electrical, you work at the core of the energy transition and support the maintenance team of a major power plant in the Northern Netherlands. The focus is on technical design, structural improvements, and future-proof maintenance.

Job requirements

  • HBO or WO degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical education.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Maintenance Engineer E/I or plant manager within the energy, industrial, or heavy process environment.
  • Experience with high and low voltage installations.
  • Knowledge of asset management and maintenance concepts.
  • Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations (e.g. NEN, ATEX).
  • Independent and proactive, with the ability to take ownership.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a practical, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Able to switch between technical, work preparation, and management.

Tasks

  • Designing, developing, and realizing systems for sustainable energy, such as wind turbines, energy transport, or hydrogen installations.
  • Developing and solving obsolescence issues of outdated installations and components.
  • Supervising change management (MOCs) and technical improvement projects.
  • Conducting technical research and translating laws and regulations into practical, workable solutions.
  • Support in setting up, optimising and structuring maintenance plans for new and existing installations.
  • Drafting technical requests for suppliers and supervising quotation processes.
  • Contributing to the development of maintenance concepts and ensuring their integration into maintenance systems (such as SAP).
  • Supporting the prioritization and structuring of projects within a high-pressure environment.
  • Contribute to the further professionalization of installation management within the E/I domain.
