Electrical Maintenance Engineer supporting the power plant maintenance team with technical design and improvement projects. Assignment in the Northern Netherlands, initial duration approximately six months, full-time or part-time employment possible.
Description
As a Maintenance Engineer Electrical, you work at the core of the energy transition and support the maintenance team of a major power plant in the Northern Netherlands. The focus is on technical design, structural improvements, and future-proof maintenance.
Job requirements
- HBO or WO degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical education.
- Demonstrable experience as a Maintenance Engineer E/I or plant manager within the energy, industrial, or heavy process environment.
- Experience with high and low voltage installations.
- Knowledge of asset management and maintenance concepts.
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations (e.g. NEN, ATEX).
- Independent and proactive, with the ability to take ownership.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a practical, solution-oriented attitude.
- Able to switch between technical, work preparation, and management.
Tasks
- Designing, developing, and realizing systems for sustainable energy, such as wind turbines, energy transport, or hydrogen installations.
- Developing and solving obsolescence issues of outdated installations and components.
- Supervising change management (MOCs) and technical improvement projects.
- Conducting technical research and translating laws and regulations into practical, workable solutions.
- Support in setting up, optimising and structuring maintenance plans for new and existing installations.
- Drafting technical requests for suppliers and supervising quotation processes.
- Contributing to the development of maintenance concepts and ensuring their integration into maintenance systems (such as SAP).
- Supporting the prioritization and structuring of projects within a high-pressure environment.
- Contribute to the further professionalization of installation management within the E/I domain.
