Integrated Environmental Project Manager
Description
Imagine: a new route for a high-pressure cable or pipeline project with tight deadlines. Drawing on your solid soil science expertise, you'll organize integrated environmental studies and ensure that ecology, water, geohydrology, and archaeology are integrated in a timely manner. You'll maintain control, provide structure, and ensure that content and process converge to make complex projects feasible.
Job requirements
- Strong project management skills: provides structure, focuses on results and stays on track under time pressure.
- Basic knowledge of soil engineering and understanding of required subsurface information and geotechnical boundary conditions.
- At least 2 years of experience in the soil science field or a similar role in leading multidisciplinary projects.
- Good communication skills to connect the interests of specialists, clients and stakeholders.
- Enjoy working systematically and managing deadlines and budgets.
- Fluent command of the Dutch language.
Tasks
- Drawing up a clear plan of action for soil and integrated environmental investigations.
- Organizing and coordinating research, scope, planning and dependencies.
- Managing internal specialists and external agencies/subcontractors.
- Monitoring planning, budget/hours and quality together with the project manager.
- Actively manage stakeholders (client, competent authority, environment) and ensure that everyone is involved in a timely manner.
- Identifying risks and bottlenecks and resolving them calmly and clearly.
- Ensuring integrity by ensuring that research and advice are aligned.
- Carrying out field work combining modern equipment with traditional measuring techniques.
