Description

As a Chemical Analyst at the lab at the headquarters in Heerenveen, you develop, validate, and execute analytical methods to support biogas production and quality control of industrial and food waste streams from our plants in the Netherlands. You work independently and are closely connected to the Nutritionist and the Operational and Feedstock teams.

Job requirements

  • MBO or HBO education in Chemistry, Chemical-Physical Analyst or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with food and Weende analysis, industrial waste streams, IC/ICP-OES and method development.
  • Familiar with LIMS or similar systems.
  • Experience with biogas processes or anaerobic digestion is an advantage.
  • Communicative, structured and accurate.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • In possession of a B driving license to flexibly visit our plants throughout the Netherlands.

Tasks

  • Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for organic waste streams and raw materials according to internal quality standards.
  • Perform routine and special analyses, including BMP tests, Weende analysis and IC analysis of organic acids.
  • Taking samples and performing chemical analyses to determine the composition of raw materials and fermentation performance.
  • Collaborate on sample analyses between SFP plants to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment and providing calibration and documentation.
  • Clearly reporting results and supporting process optimization.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement.
