Operational Installation Manager
Description
As a Technical Expert, you are responsible for ensuring safety and quality in the gas networks. You function as an advisor and coach, communicate with all levels of the organisation, and act as a bridge between policymakers and implementing parties. You work closely with the Engineering and Realization departments and play a central role in shaping technical solutions and implementing changes in the network.
Job requirements
- Higher professional education in a technical field (for example, mechanical engineering).
- Willingness to follow the post-HBO course Energy Transition and Sustainable Energy (formerly HGT).
- Knowledge of grid configurations and grid installations/components.
- Knowledge and/or experience with process and project management and with HSE legislation and applicable guidelines (preferred).
- Extensive experience in gas distribution technology and with independently solving technically complex problems in energy networks and installations.
- Strong skills in problem analysis and quality-oriented work.
- Decisiveness and persuasiveness when giving advice and presentations.
Tasks
- Ensuring the safe operation of the gas networks in the assigned area.
- Acting as technical fault manager and central figure in the fault organisation during major outages.
- Advising Asset Management on maintenance and replacement guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for key stakeholders, such as external network parties, government agencies, and customers.
- Testing new or modified network configurations and installations during the design and commissioning phases.
- Providing technical input on the procurement, selection, and implementation of new or modified business assets.
- Drafting technical instructions and ensuring that they are communicated and understood within the organisation.
- Acting as a technical expert and coach: analyzing problems, making decisions, and convincing stakeholders of advice.
