Description

As a Permits Advisor at a national consultancy firm specializing in the Energy Transition, you will work on projects involving solar energy, geothermal energy, hydrogen, heat networks, and grid congestion. You act as the link between the client and the government, identifying relevant permits and environmental requirements in the earliest project phases.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher vocational or university education in urban planning, public administration, environmental science, political science or law.
  • Knowledge and experience with (environmental) permitting procedures.
  • A good discussion partner at both substantive and management levels.
  • Working accurately, communicating clearly, and easily switching between different interests.

Tasks

  • Advising on necessary permits and strategic choices in the initial phase of energy projects.
  • Guiding permitting processes from strategy to submission.
  • Writing explanatory memoranda and coordinating sectoral studies.
  • Coordinating with competent authorities, such as municipalities, provinces, and water boards.
  • Managing and monitoring processes so that projects do not get bogged down in procedures.
  • Liaising with all involved parties and clients to prevent delays and accelerate projects.
  • Contribute to the realization of sustainable projects with attention to the living environment.
  • Example of a workday: internal meeting regarding permit strategy, contact with a municipality, drafting an explanation for a permit application, and coordinating with the buddy and team manager regarding ongoing projects and development goals.
