Cluster Manager Automation System
Description
Leading a group of hardware and software engineers and a project leader; reporting to the business unit manager on the functioning of the cluster regarding personnel, quality, and improvements.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least five years of experience as a project manager in this or a similar industry.
- Experience with automation projects is an advantage.
- Knowledge of contract management.
- Knowledge of the project management method Prince2 is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.
Tasks
- Conducting annual interviews, assessing and supporting colleagues within the cluster.
- Insight into capacity requirements and allocating capacity to project teams.
- Chairing cluster meetings and informing colleagues about organizational information, including quality and safety.
- Selecting new colleagues during expansion and monitoring employee development.
- Contribute to the direction of the technical and system development of the internal automation platform.
- Actively shaping the business unit's strategy by writing strategic and operational plans.
- Active involvement in quotation, calculation, and tender processes, including approving calculations and quotations.
- Depending on the project size, act as project manager within the cluster.

Description of the organization
The business unit specializes in power converters and automation solutions for the maritime and offshore market. Within the Power Systems cluster, high-quality power electronics systems are developed, manufactured, and supplied for energy storage, drives, DC distribution, grid conversion, and shore power connections. These systems are automated by an internal automation platform for power and energy management.
