Description
Within a nationally operating consultancy firm specializing in the energy transition, you will work on projects in the fields of solar energy, geothermal energy, hydrogen, heat networks, and grid congestion. You will act as a liaison between the client and the government, identify relevant permits and environmental requirements in the earliest phases, and monitor procedures to ensure projects do not stall.
Job requirements
- Completed higher vocational or university education in urban planning, public administration, environmental science, political science or law.
- Knowledge and experience with (environmental) permitting procedures.
- A good discussion partner at both content and management levels.
- Working accurately, communicating clearly, and skilled at navigating between different interests.
Tasks
- Advising on necessary permits and strategic choices in the early stages of energy projects.
- Guiding permitting processes from strategy to submission.
- Writing explanatory memoranda and coordinating sectoral studies.
- Coordinating with competent authorities, such as municipalities, provinces, and water boards.
- Monitoring and adjusting processes to prevent delays and accelerate projects.
- Supporting the realization of sustainable projects with regard for the living environment.
A typical workday might consist of internal consultation regarding permit strategy, contact with a municipality concerning an environmental permit, drafting explanatory notes for a permit application, and coordination with the team and supervisor regarding ongoing projects.
