Safety expert
Senior Safety Expert responsible for the implementation of SEVESO and ARIE requirements and the development of safety policy. Requires a completed HVK or equivalent higher professional education, extensive safety experience, and experience with ISO 45001. You will work at various power plants and on projects for the energy transition.
Description
As a Senior Safety Specialist, you shape the safety culture within power plants and work on safety issues both strategically and operationally.
Job requirements
- Completed HVK program or a comparable program at a minimum of HBO level.
- Extensive work experience in the field of safety, preferably within the (chemical) process industry and/or electricity production.
- Experience with ISO 45001.
- Good communication skills, the ability to seek collaboration, give feedback, and the courage to address people.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- In possession of a driver's license and willingness to travel to power plants such as Eemshaven, Lelystad, and Burgum.
- In the event of equal suitability, preference will be given to a female candidate.
Tasks
- Implementing SEVESO and ARIE requirements.
- Drafting, adapting, and implementing safety policy and involving departments in this process.
- Making improvement proposals and implementing continuous improvements to the safety policy.
- Addressing colleagues and contractors regarding safety behavior, with compliments and, where necessary, corrective conversations (fair culture).
- Promoting risk recognition, encouraging desired behavior, and increasing expertise within the organization.
- Work closely with colleagues within the HSEQ department.
- Advising and facilitating departments on various safety issues, both strategic and operational.
- Advising on occupational health and safety-related issues.
- Facilitating workshops and practical support in the workplace.
- Working at various locations and contributing to projects that contribute to the energy transition (e.g., E-boiler and battery project).
- Collaborate in the HSEQ team and contribute to a team of motivated and driven colleagues.
Working conditions
- Contract based on full-time employment; part-time is negotiable.
- 25 vacation days, 13 compensatory time off days, and 3,5 vitality days (based on full-time employment).
- 8% holiday allowance and 4,5% end-of-year bonus.
