Description

As a Senior Safety Specialist, you shape the safety culture within power plants and work on safety issues both strategically and operationally.

Job requirements

  • Completed HVK program or a comparable program at a minimum of HBO level.
  • Extensive work experience in the field of safety, preferably within the (chemical) process industry and/or electricity production.
  • Experience with ISO 45001.
  • Good communication skills, the ability to seek collaboration, give feedback, and the courage to address people.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • In possession of a driver's license and willingness to travel to power plants such as Eemshaven, Lelystad, and Burgum.
  • In the event of equal suitability, preference will be given to a female candidate.

Tasks

  • Implementing SEVESO and ARIE requirements.
  • Drafting, adapting, and implementing safety policy and involving departments in this process.
  • Making improvement proposals and implementing continuous improvements to the safety policy.
  • Addressing colleagues and contractors regarding safety behavior, with compliments and, where necessary, corrective conversations (fair culture).
  • Promoting risk recognition, encouraging desired behavior, and increasing expertise within the organization.
  • Work closely with colleagues within the HSEQ department.
  • Advising and facilitating departments on various safety issues, both strategic and operational.
  • Advising on occupational health and safety-related issues.
  • Facilitating workshops and practical support in the workplace.
  • Working at various locations and contributing to projects that contribute to the energy transition (e.g., E-boiler and battery project).
  • Collaborate in the HSEQ team and contribute to a team of motivated and driven colleagues.

Working conditions

  • Contract based on full-time employment; part-time is negotiable.
  • 25 vacation days, 13 compensatory time off days, and 3,5 vitality days (based on full-time employment).
  • 8% holiday allowance and 4,5% end-of-year bonus.
