Description of the organization
Teijin Aramid is a progressive chemical manufacturing company and market leader in aramid fibers. The super-strong golden-yellow Twaron aramid is used worldwide to make products safer, stronger, and more sustainable. Fiber production begins in Delfzijl; further processing takes place at the production site in Emmen, home to the world's largest aramid factory with approximately 600 employees.
The department in Emmen specializes in the refinement of aramid fibers and performs processes such as twisting, averaging, assembling, creasing, and processing yarns into pulp. Twaron pulp is primarily used in gaskets and brake shoes and also serves various smaller markets. The five-shift system typically consists of one unit leader, two senior operators, six mechanical operators, and seven basic operators, where teamwork is important.
