High Voltage Technician North
You carry out maintenance and inspections on high-voltage installations in the Northern Netherlands.
Required: MBO-2 Electrical Engineering or Automotive Engineering and a B driving license.
You complete an internal two-year training program and work according to strict safety rules.
Description
In this position, you will work on installations in high-voltage substations in the Northern Netherlands (Groningen/Drenthe). You will contribute to the maintenance, inspections, improvement, and renewal of the electricity grid, thereby helping to meet the growing energy demand. Working safely is always paramount; you will follow a two-year internal training program alternating between school and practical work, and develop into a specialist under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
Job requirements
- Minimum MBO-2 level in electrical engineering or automotive technology.
- VCA certificate and preferably BHV (First Aid) certificate, or motivation to obtain this through the employer.
- Driving License B.
Tasks
- Performing maintenance and conducting inspections on switches, power transformers (110 kV/10 kV), batteries, and rectifiers.
- Project-based work on expansions and replacements of installations.
- Always work with a technical specialist or team leader according to the four-eyes principle.
- Depart from home to work locations with your own fully equipped work van.
- On-call duty for one week once every six weeks and being available by phone 24/7, for which additional compensation is received.
