Description

You work with colleagues in Groningen and Drenthe on a reliable and innovative electricity network and develop into a high-voltage technician via an internal training program of one to two years. In this role, you bear responsibility and impact, and support the growth and reliability of high-voltage substations while mentoring junior technicians.

Job requirements

You work carefully, with concentration, and communicate clearly; you listen well to colleagues, work safely, and deliver high quality. Furthermore, you have at least an MBO-2 level qualification in electrical engineering or automotive technology and experience as a technician in a relevant field. You possess or are willing to obtain: VCA (and preferably BHV). The work may only be performed with the appropriate authorizations; you can acquire any missing authorizations through internal training. Additionally, you hold a B driving license and are motivated to develop into a high-voltage technician.

Tasks

  • Inspecting and maintaining installations in high-voltage substations, including power transformers (110 kV/10 kV), switches, rectifiers and batteries.
  • Carrying out improvements, replacement, and renewal of parts and installations.
  • Working on projects focused on the expansion or replacement of installations.
  • Always work according to the four-eyes principle, together with a technical specialist or team leader.
  • Guiding and supporting fellow mechanics who are new to the profession.
  • Depart from home to work locations with your own fully equipped work van.
  • Performing on-call duty approximately once every six weeks, being available by phone 24/7 during this time, and receiving compensation for this.
