Description
As an aspiring gas fitter, you will learn and work on the energy transition in your region. You will complete a recognized MBO level 3 training program to become a gas fitter, receive guidance from an experienced buddy, and work at various locations. You will develop through a growth path into an independent on-call fault technician and can later distinguish yourself in various specializations.
Job requirements
- Motivation to pursue an MBO level 3 program and associated safety training; a completed education is an advantage.
- Good command of the Dutch language.
- Driving License B.
- Residing in the Groningen region due to on-call duties.
Tasks
- Completion of a recognized MBO level 3 training program to become a gas fitter, with theory and practical lessons at the vocational school and practical work in the field.
- Work under the supervision of an experienced buddy who takes you through all common activities.
- Daily execution of inspection and maintenance work, troubleshooting, and network improvements.
- Renovating gas pipelines, detecting gas leaks, and resolving malfunctions in the gas network.
- Performing work at various locations using a company van and informing colleagues and customers.
- Working in accordance with safety regulations and ensuring there is no room for unsafety; contributing to a reliable gas network.
- Focus on obtaining the diploma and basic skills in the first years, and then develop into an independent breakdown technician.
Working conditions
- Contribution of 70% to the ABP Choice Pension.
- Personal budget of 10% and a 13th month of 10,7% of the gross annual salary; flexible deployment.
- 24,5 vacation days for full-time employment, with the possibility of additional leave days via a personal budget and a 13th month salary.
- Compensation of €455 gross per on-call and emergency shift; hours worked during emergency situations receive additional pay, and additional leave days are accrued.
