Environmental & Permits Advisor
You coordinate permitting processes and prepare EIAs for sustainable energy projects.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with complex permits and thorough knowledge of relevant legislation is required.
You work on energy transition projects, both in terms of content and process.
Description
The energy transition requires not only technical innovation, but also professionals who master complex procedures and make projects legally feasible. You guide sustainable energy projects through the permitting process: careful where necessary, decisive where possible. From bio-LNG and hydrogen to solar, wind, and geothermal energy, you ensure that ambitions can actually be realized.
Job requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with complex permitting processes and/or environmental impact assessments.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Environment and Planning Act, environmental regulations, and external safety.
- Experience with themes such as PGS, ZZS, BAT, nitrogen, water, and nature.
- The ability to independently structure projects and manage their content.
- Strong communication skills and persuasiveness.
- An entrepreneurial and solution-oriented attitude.
Tasks
- Coordinating integrated permit applications, including environmental permits and notifications for environmentally harmful activities.
- Drafting and supervising environmental impact assessments (EIA).
- Directing specialist investigations and assessing the outcomes.
- Advising on PGS guidelines, hazardous substances, ZZS/ABM, BAT assessments, and water impact studies.
- Assisting with due diligence investigations in the field of permits.
- Identifying risks and opportunities within projects and acting as a substantive sparring partner for clients.
- Guiding and coaching junior and mid-level colleagues.
