Renovation Contractor
Renovation Project Manager who manages renovation projects in occupied homes in the Northern Netherlands.
Responsible for planning, safety, quality, and managing tradespeople and resident contact.
Required: MBO/HBO in Construction Engineering and more than five years of relevant site manager experience.
Description
You manage renovation and sustainability projects in occupied homes in the Northern Netherlands from start to finish. Projects range from high-rise apartment buildings in the city center of Groningen to 60s terraced houses and detached homes in Friesland and Drenthe. You work extensively in the neighborhood, directly visible to residents, and deliver tailored solutions to improve living comfort and future-proofing.
Job requirements
- Safety-conscious, with constant oversight of all ongoing matters on the construction site.
- Strong communication skills towards team and residents.
- Completed vocational or higher professional education in construction engineering.
- More than five years of relevant work experience as an (assistant) project manager.
- Broad work experience on various types of projects.
- Place of residence preferably in the Northern Netherlands.
Tasks
- Present on the construction site daily and managing renovation projects from start to finish.
- Maintain an overview of projects in occupied buildings and effortlessly switch between tradespeople, residents, supply chain partners, and clients.
- Collaborating with fixed teams and in long-term partnerships with housing associations.
- Monitoring planning, safety, quality, personnel, and material flows.
- Practically solving unexpected challenges, such as wood rot or hidden asbestos.
- Ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
