Junior Environmental Strategist at TAUW. Locations: Assen, Deventer, Eindhoven, and Utrecht.
Job requirements
- (Nearly) completed HBO or WO degree in environment, chemistry, process technology, chemical engineering, environmental law, or urban planning.
- Affinity with business activities (for example through an internship, graduation project, or part-time jobs).
- Ability to read and apply environmental laws and regulations.
- Collaborative with an eye for detail.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and spoken; preferably also English.
- Ability to easily switch between multiple projects.
Tasks
- Advising clients and colleagues on environment and water.
- Providing support and advice on permit applications and HSE and compliance issues.
- Communication with clients and government agencies, together with an experienced colleague.
- Coordinating activities and consulting with colleagues on issues outside one's own field of expertise.
- Preparing quotations and reports for clients.

Description of the organization
TAUW is an international consultancy and engineering firm focused on HSE advice and permit management for commercial activities, with the aim of contributing to a vital and sustainable living environment. The Permits team consists of approximately 15 substantively driven junior, mid-level, and senior colleagues spread across offices in Assen, Deventer, Eindhoven, and Utrecht. We collaborate closely with other teams, such as Safety, Noise and Air, Wastewater Technology, Site (re)development, Circular Economy and Sustainability, EIA, and Spatial Planning. Within the department, we work on projects in sectors such as the food industry, oil terminals, the metal industry, chemical production, waste recycling and circular economy, wastewater treatment plants, and the drinking water and energy sectors.
