Environmental Advisor
Description
As an Environmental Advisor, you assess and guide environmental permits and notifications. You ensure that companies comply with legislation regarding noise, odor, ecology, external safety, light, air quality, sustainability, and energy. You collaborate with colleagues in permitting, supervision, and enforcement and contribute to a healthy and safe living environment in the Groningen region, with a possible work area around Delfzijl or Veendam.
Job requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree level of work and thinking with a relevant education in environmental science, process/chemical technology, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of the Environmental Activities Decree (Bal) and the Environmental Act.
- Extensive relevant work experience in the environmental field.
- Experience in writing reports and advice.
- Pragmatic, results- and solution-oriented working method; initiator; good oral and written communication skills; social and political awareness; accustomed to collaborating and seeking connection; flexible attitude.
Tasks
- Assessing and supervising environmental permits and notifications.
- Ensuring that companies comply with relevant environmental laws and regulations.
- Conducting consultations with clients, companies and consultants.
- Advising municipal companies on complex, multiple environmental permit applications in various sectors.
- Advising on developments and bottlenecks at companies requiring permits.
- Participate in multidisciplinary projects from within the field.
