Description
You contribute to a reliable energy network and work on automation solutions at high- and medium-voltage substations in Overijssel, Drenthe, and Groningen.
As an OT expert, you work at the intersection of electrical engineering, automation, and IT, both in new construction and in the renewal of existing high-voltage substations.
Job requirements
- At least an MBO-4 diploma in an electrical engineering field.
- Experience with relevant technology, such as electrical engineering, industrial engineering, control engineering or mechatronics.
- You enjoy testing and making electrical systems operational, and safety is always your top priority.
- You enjoy working together, communicate clearly, work accurately and have an eye for detail.
- You think in solutions, enjoy continuing to develop yourself, and are fine with working on-call shifts.
Tasks
- Configuring, programming, testing, inspecting, and maintaining substation automation and remote terminal units (RTUs) with associated components such as protection relays, measurement converters, and control equipment.
- Commissioning medium-voltage installations at new construction projects.
- Testing and configuring systems and safely commissioning new installations, using advanced measurement and test equipment.
- Ensuring a secure, stable and future-proof OT infrastructure.
- Collaborating with colleagues according to the four-eyes principle.
- Performing on-call duty once every six weeks.
- Obtain the necessary certifications through an internal training program to work independently and safely in technically challenging environments.
Working conditions
- One-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
- Contribution of 70% to the ABP Choice Pension.

Description of the organization
You work at the Systems & Security department in the Overijssel, Drenthe, and Groningen region.
You form a team with fellow experts, a planner, and two team managers; the team is close-knit, works closely together, and offers room for both serious work and camaraderie and humor. Everyone is happy to help you learn the ropes, and ongoing projects and improvements are discussed during the monthly team meeting.
