You develop and implement policies that contribute to the energy transition and a sustainable living environment for northern municipalities.
Job requirements
You take initiative, connect policy and implementation, and enjoy collaborating with various parties. In addition, you bring the following:
- HBO or WO degree in the field of sustainability, environment, public administration, urban planning, or a similar field.
- Several years of work experience in a policy-making role within sustainability, energy, or climate in an administrative environment.
- Experience with sustainability or energy projects within the physical environment.
Tasks
As a Sustainability Policy Officer, you work on concrete solutions and projects. Your tasks include:
- Developing, updating, and implementing sustainability policy.
- Advising the board and management on energy, climate, and sustainability.
- Initiating and guiding sustainability projects, for example around energy conservation, circular economy, or climate adaptation.
- Collaborating with colleagues, regional partners, residents, and businesses.
- Translating national and regional developments into concrete plans for the municipality.
- Monitoring the progress and results of sustainability programs.
