Construction Manager
Construction Manager at an EPC realizing turnkey solar power installations. Manages suppliers and subcontractors, monitors schedules, and reports progress and deviations. Required: MBO or HBO education or equivalent experience and two to three years of technical work experience.
Description
As a Construction Manager, you are responsible for realizing the pre-established engineering and supervising the execution of solar projects. You act as a link between clients and the construction site and serve as site supervisor and the main point of contact for contractors.
Job requirements
- MBO or HBO education, or comparable experience as a site manager.
- Two to three years of work experience in a technical role.
- Knowledge of solar panels is a plus.
- Ability to maintain an overview and take the lead.
- Strong communication skills and an assertive attitude.
- Detail-oriented with an eye for planning.
- Willingness to perform executive duties in addition to management tasks.
Tasks
- Realizing the pre-established engineering at project locations.
- Giving instructions to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring the schedule and adjusting where necessary.
- Supervising the execution on site as construction manager and point of contact for contractors.
- Conducting on-site inspections and correcting deviations.
- Reporting progress and deviations.
- Ensuring delivery in accordance with specified quality requirements and within the financial budget.
- Approving quotations so that the Construction Planner can start work.
Working conditions
- Work area: head office in Amstelveen and various project locations; you spend approximately three to four days a week on projects and one to two days at the office in Amstelveen.
