Assistant Controller
Description
As an Assistant Controller, you are an essential link within Finance, ensuring that financial data is accurate and processes run smoothly. You assist with processing, analyzing, and reporting financial information and independently take on projects and process improvements. The role offers responsibility, development opportunities, and room to optimize processes.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy
- At least 3 years of experience in a financial or administrative role
- Experience in a production environment is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills
- Affinity with ERP systems, preferably Business Central
- Working analytically and in a structured manner, with initiative and ownership
- Ability to clearly explain financial information to colleagues
- Interested in digitalization, automation, and data-driven working
- Affinity with sustainability and modern business operations
Tasks
- Processing and verifying financial data in the ERP system (including Business Central)
- Preparing monthly and annual closings
- Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and various reports
- Analyzing costs and deviations together with the CFO
- Automating and improving financial processes
- Monitoring and optimizing accounts receivable and accounts payable flows
- Preparing and verifying balance sheet specifications and reconciliations
- Identifying financial bottlenecks and contributing ideas for improvement solutions
- Assisting with audits and internal controls
- Daily support for the Finance team
- Taking on projects independently and identifying opportunities for improvement
