Description

Do you have a passion for international relations and the European Union, and do you want to explore the opportunities Europe offers for local policy goals? You will work in an environment focused on themes such as energy transition, climate adaptation, circular economy, active mobility, and campus development. In this internship, you will contribute to identifying European opportunities, support project proposals, and organize (international) meetings, while contributing to strategic thinking and expanding your professional network.

Job requirements

  • Likes to take the initiative and is curious.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills.
  • Student or recent graduate of a university or college (e.g. Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, European Studies, or similar fields such as Business Administration, Geography, Sustainability).
  • Experience with or ability to organize (online) events.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of the European Union, European Commission priorities, and European subsidy programs is an advantage.
  • The nature of the internship requires some flexibility regarding availability.

Tasks

  • Contribute to mapping European opportunities on relevant themes.
  • Assisting with writing project proposals and project management.
  • Organizing internal and external (international) project and networking meetings.
  • Planning and preparing meetings and taking minutes during meetings.
  • Writing press releases, website copy, and social media posts, and maintaining the Europe intranet page.
  • Carrying out a specific internship assignment of your choice within the internship period.
