Sustainability Consultant Existing Buildings

As a Sustainability Advisor for Existing Buildings, you guide property owners in making their buildings more sustainable, from analysis and planning to execution and delivery.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of work experience as a sustainability consultant, energy consultant, or in a similar role within the real estate or construction sector.
• Completed higher professional or university degree in construction engineering, installation technology, sustainability, or a similar field.
• Demonstrable experience with energy consulting and making existing buildings more sustainable.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as BENG, energy labels, and subsidies.
• Strong analytical skills and a knack for numbers.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external parties; ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical clients.

• Analyzing existing buildings and drawing up feasible improvement plans.
• Ensuring that sustainability plans are actually implemented and delivered.
• Translating technical possibilities into financially viable solutions and aligning them with user requirements.
• Advising on energy-saving measures, installation improvements, and sustainable materials, with an eye for practical feasibility.
• Acting as the point of contact for clients and guiding the process from initial exploration through to the delivery of measures.
