Description
As a Sustainability Advisor for Existing Buildings, you guide property owners in making their buildings more sustainable, from analysis and planning to execution and delivery.
Job requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of work experience as a sustainability consultant, energy consultant, or in a similar role within the real estate or construction sector.
- Completed higher professional or university degree in construction engineering, installation technology, sustainability, or a similar field.
- Demonstrable experience with energy consulting and making existing buildings more sustainable.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as BENG, energy labels, and subsidies.
- Strong analytical skills and a knack for numbers.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external parties; ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical clients.
Tasks
- Analyzing existing buildings and drawing up feasible improvement plans.
- Ensuring that sustainability plans are actually implemented and delivered.
- Translating technical possibilities into financially viable solutions and aligning them with user requirements.
- Advising on energy-saving measures, installation improvements, and sustainable materials, with an eye for practical feasibility.
- Acting as the point of contact for clients and guiding the process from initial exploration through to the delivery of measures.
