Description
Responsible for the successful delivery of renewable energy projects from late development to transaction readiness. You maintain control over scope, budget, liquidity, planning, governance, and contract interfaces throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Job requirements
- Strong in project control, financial discipline, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrable experience in project management within capital-intensive technical environments, such as renewable energy, construction, infrastructure, electrical engineering, industrial projects, or offshore.
- Proven track record in managing multi-stakeholder projects with direct responsibility for budget, planning, and delivery.
- Experience with financial modeling, contract management, procurement, and structured project governance.
- Strong analytical skills, structured, and hands-on; works with data, identifies issues quickly, and takes action.
- Strong organisational skills and capable of managing multiple workflows simultaneously without losing control of priorities, deadlines, or details.
- Clear and confident communication with investors, management, technical specialists, and external counterparties.
- Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and standing firm under pressure.
- Strong skills in contract management and negotiation.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
Tasks
- Management of project budgets and financial control over DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow, and liquidity throughout the lifecycle.
- Monitoring project performance against the plan, identifying deviations early, and escalating with proposed corrective measures.
- Maintaining and updating the financial model in collaboration with the Commercial Project Analyst so that the financial basis remains decision-ready.
- Active risk management: assessing impact, defining options, and proposing clear recommendations when issues arise.
- Disciplined scope management: determining what does and does not belong to the project and assessing the consequences of changes.
- Establishing and maintaining realistic project schedules in Workfront and ensuring that mile logic and milestones remain accurate from ready-to-build to end of lifecycle.
- Preparing governance materials for decision-making bodies in a timely manner and to the required standard so that projects are ready for decision.
- Managing the contractual framework: ensuring that contracts are present, understood, monitored, and enforced.
- Management of the data room and ensuring that it is complete, up-to-date, and audit-ready.
- Coordinating due diligence processes and responding promptly and accurately to requests from investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring high data quality in Workfront and reporting tools, and maintaining interfaces between technical, legal, commercial, and financial workflows to prevent unresolved issues.
