Description

You will work in a national team of specialists that annually supports more than 100 municipalities, water boards, provinces, and private parties in the management and design of green assets in public spaces. From within the team, landscape and arboricultural specialists provide advice for integrated projects in urban and rural areas, with a strong focus on themes such as greening, climate adaptation, and circularity. Locations: Groningen, De Bilt, and Eindhoven.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher professional or university degree in Environmental Management, Garden and Landscape Design, Forestry and Nature Management, or comparable programs focused on public space and greenery.
  • Extensive knowledge of and interest in trees and plants.
  • Proactive, communicative, and eager-to-learn attitude.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Fluent command of the Dutch language.

Tasks

  • Conducting tree impact analyses and performing field inventories.
  • Advising on trees, planting, and planting sites.
  • Translating research results into concrete and feasible solutions.
  • Providing specialist landscaping advice for integrated plan developments, from sketch design to realization.
  • Contribute to the development of new green and tree policy.
  • Communicating with residents and other stakeholders regarding horticultural technical issues.
  • Collaborating in project teams and regularly heading out for fieldwork and consultations with clients.
