Description

As a Customer Support Engineer, you advise on and sell after-sales services for existing SMST installations and act as a dedicated account manager for specific customers.

Job requirements

  • Completed technical education at MBO or HBO level (HBO working and thinking level).
  • Preferably 0–2 years of work experience; a technical background is preferred.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Analytical ability and skilled in gathering and processing relevant information and formulating solutions.
  • Good verbal communication skills; you convey information clearly and convincingly, both in groups and one-on-one.
  • Commercially driven and flexible; willingness to be available via on-call service for acute problems.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Tasks

  • Proactively approaching assigned customers to acquire service and Customer Support assignments.
  • Preparing and submitting realistic and accurate quotations for aftercare activities in a timely manner.
  • Registering in ISAH (ERP system) and checking and preparing project calculations.
  • Following up on potential assignments and outstanding quotations, and negotiating within established margins.
  • Sending order confirmations and ensuring correct management of project budget and documentation within the scope of the assignment.
  • Ensuring correct verbal and written information is provided to the customer.
  • Respond to acute problems, initiate solution pathways, and deploy personnel immediately where necessary.
  • As a team, be responsible for the service telephone and serve as a temporary (secondary) point of contact for the customer during on-call schedules.
