QHSE Advisor Occupational Health
QHSE Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, point of contact for occupational safety and management of hazardous substances.
Responsible for RI&E, safe working procedures, and advice on projects.
Requirements: relevant HBO or MBO-4 with ambition and at least three years of experience.
Description
As an Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor, you are the point of contact for occupational safety within the organisation and are part of the HSE department. You contribute to safe, sustainable, and legally compliant business operations and work organisation-wide with various teams and disciplines.
Job requirements
- Relevant HBO program (e.g., Safety Science or Chemical Engineering), or a relevant MBO-4 diploma with the ambition to pursue an HBO program.
- At least three years of experience in occupational safety and/or with hazardous substances.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various disciplines.
- Ability to work independently, maintain an overview, and make choices within frameworks.
- Affinity with project-based work and process safety.
Tasks
- Conducting and keeping RI&Es up-to-date, including hazardous substances.
- Managing the Hazardous Substances Register, including REACH/CLP obligations.
- Developing, implementing, and ensuring safe working procedures.
- Advising departments on risks, incidents, and improvement measures.
- Coordinating exposure measurements, PPE advice, and workplace analyses.
- Strengthening safety awareness through training and toolboxes.
- Guiding external inspections and coordinating with occupational health and safety partners.
- Advising on safety aspects for projects and technical changes.
- Supporting the Engineering Firm and project teams by promoting safe choices from initial ideas to delivery, including risk assessment, design choices, supervision, and assurance of measures.
- Contribute to the broad occupational health and safety package within the entire organisation.
