Energy Transition Advisor
This role translates policy into implementation in the energy transition. You develop policy, guide participation, and advise the Municipal Executive and Council. Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree and fluent Dutch.

Job requirements
- Completed higher professional or university education, for example in Energy & Sustainability, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Technology or Environmental Sciences.
- Experience or strong affinity with energy policy, sustainability or project management.
- Skill as a connector and experience with participation, communication, and behavioral change.
- Data-driven working and maintaining an overview in complex projects.
- Political-administrative sensitivity and persuasiveness.
- Fluent Dutch.
Tasks
- Developing and implementing policies in the field of sustainable energy, heat transition and housing sustainability.
- Advising the Municipal Executive and Council on policy choices, strategy, and implementation projects.
- Collaborate with housing associations, grid operators, energy cooperatives and residents.
- Guiding participation processes and ensuring that residents feel heard and involved.
- Translating national and regional objectives into local plans and implementation programs.
- Monitoring results and brainstorming on new opportunities and innovations within the energy transition.

Description of the organization
You will be seconded to a municipality in the region, within a team focusing on sustainability, energy, and the living environment. Together with colleagues and partners, you will work on projects such as the heat transition, sustainable energy generation, and resident involvement. The work atmosphere is open, professional, and informal, with ample room for personal initiative and development. You will be part of a network of professionals within the spatial domain and will have opportunities to deepen your knowledge through training, coaching, and knowledge sessions.
