Description
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems on commercial and industrial roofs. Work takes place in the Leeuwarden region, in small project teams that install, connect, and provide aftercare on-site. The position involves practical installation work and service, with opportunities for training and technical development towards more complex systems and project tasks.
Job requirements
- MBO working and thinking level, preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in installation technology or with solar panel installations (mid-level).
- Practical knowledge of electrical connections and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Experience with working safely at height and the use of tools and equipment.
- In possession of a B driving license and willingness to travel to various locations.
- Physically fit and accustomed to outdoor work and varying weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented work attitude.
Tasks
- Safe and high-quality installation and connection of solar panels on commercial roofs.
- Assembling and securing mounting systems, solar panels, and cabling according to technical drawings and installation diagrams.
- Connecting and adjusting inverters and electrical components according to specifications.
- Inspecting installations, performing preventive maintenance, and resolving malfunctions on site.
- Reporting completed work and identifying areas for improvement to the supervisor.
- We work primarily in non-residential construction and on industrial roofs, approximately 70% new construction and 30% maintenance.
- Performing work in pairs or small teams of 2–4 mechanics, depending on the project.
